The Death Of My Personal Blog (and the rise of The Digital Tail)

In my recent posts, I’ve noticed two shifts that forced me to take a hard look at this blog.  The first and most obvious is that I am rarely talking about myself on here which does not make a ton of sense for a personal blog.  The second is that I have been zeroing in on the topic I truly want to discuss which is how social technology is impacting our lives.  I spoke about this in depth in my last post, titled The Digital Tail and I find that I want it to be more than just a single series; it is what I want to write about.

I am a big believer that since the emergence, growing simplicity and widespread popularity of social tools is going to have a major affect on our personal and professional lives, it is the right direction for me to go in.  I will still be easy to find as I am living and sharing more of my life online, creating content on Facebook, Twitter and Posterous, but will I plan to shift this blog to my Posterous account shortly and begin to focus and creating content around the idea of The Digital Tail on a new site aptly named… you guessed it… The Digital Tail (The site is live, but content and design are coming soon).

I hope to go beyond the scope of my own opinions on this site to highlight and showcase those who are leveraging social tools to improve their work, or better yet, change their lives.  You can visit the new blog or follow me on Twitter and Posterous.  Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to visit, read and comment on this site.  I have enjoyed the experience immensely and look forward to taking things up a notch with this new site.
